IN PERSON CLASS DAYS
Please, take the time to read through and understand the information. If we all work together in following the health protocols, we can keep our staff and students safe and keep our classes going.
Health Protocols:
-
Health Screener: Screen your student prior to arrival at school using the attached protocols. If your student has any of the Covid symptoms, please keep them at home. If you are aware of symptoms due to other health issues (ie. allergies), a doctor’s note may be requested. If you have questions, call Sue in the office (831) 475-0767
-
Adhere to the arrival and pick up times as much as possible. If you have to arrive early or pick up late, please call Sue in the office to make arrangements.
-
Masks are optional. Please talk to your student about the protocols you want them to follow regarding the optional mask wearing. We honor everyone's choice.
-
Classrooms and materials will be thoroughly cleaned each day after use.
-
The outside play time and areas are being coordinated with other schools on our campus to reduce physical interaction with other school cohorts.
-
If your child has a positive Covid test, please call the school immediately. We will follow current protocols regarding quarantine as listed in the SCCOE Guidelines
-
Optional: Free Covid testing will be available at Ocean Alternative on Thursdays from 10:30 to 12:30 pm starting September 22
General Information: -
Send healthy snacks and lunch (for students staying more than 2 hours). If you want to get lunch in the cafeteria, please let Sue know on your arrival.
-
Attending any in-person class days will count as their daily check in and lesson. The virtual morning daily check in and lesson is optional for that day only.

GROUPER GUIDELINES
Group Guidelines
One of our major goals is to create a safe and welcoming space for all of our students. As part of our cooperative learning process and group support system, we offer the following guidelines to help each student be mindful of others. We have team building activities on our class days and offer kind, caring conflict resolution as needed. We work with our students to learn about and think about: is it SAFE? is it KIND? is it RESPONSIBLE?
Please take time to talk with your child before and after each day about the role they can play in helping create a positive environment for our community. Always know that you can contact us if something isn’t going right for your child so that we can work together to find a solution.
