CAASPP Training Info
Here is how to get to the training tests:How to access the Practice & Training tests:
1) Go to https://www.caaspp-elpac.org/
2) Click on the Practice & Training Tests for Students “Student Access to Tests” button
3) Press the “Continue as Guest” button
4) Click the “Guest Session” button
5) Select your student’s grade & click on the “Smarter Balanced Practice Tests”
6) Choose the type of practice test you want to give
7) Choose any designated supports that may be helpful to your student and click “Select”
Note: If you choose, “text to speech” this will read the questions to the student. You need to also click on “Permissive Mode” so that it will work. IF YOU FIND ANY DESIGNATED SUPPORTS THAT ARE HELPFUL FOR YOUR STUDENT, PLEASE LET HEDDI KNOW TO SET THEM FOR THE ACTUAL TEST.
8) Click “Yes, start my test”
9) Check for sound, click “Yes”
10) Test instructions & Help will show you how to use the tools that are available
11) Click “Begin Test Now”
The tests themselves are personalized because the test is adaptive, meaning that the questions they pose are dependent on the accuracy of the previous answers—they'll select the next question based on the answer to the current question, selecting either more basic or more advanced questions, adapting to the student. The practice tests give a sample of questions and are not adaptive.
