- Symptoms of illness including: low energy, aches, chills, etc.
- Diarrhea/Vomiting more than once within the past 24 hours
- Any contagious disease (please notify us)
- Any illness or injury within the past 24 hours, which prohibits a child from actively participating in the program
If your child becomes sick while at the program, you or someone listed on your emergency card will be contacted to pick the child up immediately.
Thanks for you help!
GUIDELINES FOR CLASS DAYS
Ocean Online is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students. As a part of our cooperative learning process and group support system, our school uses the following behavior guidelines:
-
Be Safe
-
Be Kind
-
Be Responsible
We handle all behavior challenges using individualized support and restorative practices.
To help us create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, we ask the following of you:
- Be on time. If you come a little early, please stay with your child or arrange a plan with Sue.
- Walk with your student onto our campus. Also, check your student mailbox!
- Please take time to talk with your child before and after each day about how they can help create a positive and welcoming place for our community.
- You can always contact us if something isn't going right for your child so that we can work together to find a solution.
GUIDELINES FOR MEETING WITH YOUR TEACHER
- Be conscientious about honoring your meeting date and time.
- Allow at least an hour per student for each meeting. Ample time is needed to review student work, record progress, discuss next steps or ideas, model or discuss teaching methods, set new goals for the next conference period and collect samples.
- Provide all student work at every meeting so your consultant can get a full picture of the work that your student is doing.
-
Provide independent study instruction for the student using monthly conference record goals and objectives.
-
Work cooperatively with your teacher on monthly plans and evaluations, as well as semester evaluations.
